Barn Owls: Tyto Alba

One of the most interesting owls is the barn owl. This Tyto is an average sized owl with a large, white, heart-shaped face. (1)It has a 90-100 cm wingspan and lives over 20 years. It is in the family of tytonidae, along with greater and lesser sooty owls, masked owls, and 27 others. Barn owls mostly hunt small rodents, like mice, rats, and voles.
